The La Costa Canyon MavBots are competing in a robotics tournament this Saturday, October 17th at Francis Parker School.

This pre-season tournament is run almost exactly like the San Diego Regional tournament. It’s a great time to meet other teams, learn how tournaments work, learn to drive the robot, and watch some amazing robots in action.

TEAM: Meet at LCC at 6 am. We should be back by 7 pm or earlier depending on our performance in the game.

Everyone else: It’s FREE! COME VISIT US!

The tournament runs 9 am – 5 pm

Join the LCC MavBots, FIRST Robotics Competition Team 5514, for the upcoming year. We are starting with building and prepping our robots for a practice tournament in October. Then in January, we get the new challenge from FIRST and have 6 weeks to build a robot!

Our pre-season chassis is coming along just in time to get started on our official 2015 robotics season chassis. Check out our progress…

We are waiting on wheels and motor controllers which should arrive this week, but the chassis itself is solid and precise. Excellent work by the entire team!
